Both are covered in puke at the end of the weekend, but this seems to be a reference to some weird country that can't spell things properly.

You can make a decent argument this is straight-up as good as the original. Maybe not the rapping, but this lady's vocal hook beats Alicia's over-singing pretty easily.

I like Jay-Z alright, but he's certainly not at his best on "Empire State of Mind." All his bad habits are there- awkward, choppy flow, forced-in bragging that isn't as clever as he thinks... I'm not really sure how it got so popular.

I don't even like Newport, and I sort of completely love this song. I'm also tired of explaining that Wales is like, you know, a real place and not the inventions of tourism commercials, so that might be it too...

Damn straight Goldie Lookin' Chain are awesome. Also, I was disappointed this wasn't about the Newport I live near, but this is the best Empire State of Mind parody I've seen so far.

The only thing I ever liked about Newport was TJs, the diviest rock dive that ever had a miraculous license to operate as a place humans could enter. I keep meaning to go back but I'd be devastated if they've fixed the toilets, the crumbling walls, the holes in the floor or the tendency to pack in an illegal number of people then turn the heating up.

That and the gangs of women who don't need to wear coats - that bit reminded me of Manchester.

The Febreeze is kept on the dashboard so it is close at hand to deodorise the stain left on the passenger seat by his incontinent grandmother.
